Another Cross-Stitch to add to my Collection of things to Do!!

Not the best of pics but you get the general idea!!!

Bear Sampler with magnet frame!!!

Top pic is a cross-stitch I won off of Ebaby. Its a pillow once it's all complete. I am going to do it for my mum for her birthday. :) Other pic is a bear sampler I got with it. I have just started it. I also just started on my Longstitch the other day too so feeling pretty crafty. It's so nice to start to get back into craft like I did before Declan was born. :)

Stormy Night!!!

We are having a night of rain and thunder and lighting tonight. Its not going to be much but at least its something. :)

Declan had 3 teaspoons of farex today which he kept down so I am so happy about that. Will keep giving him the farex for another 5 or so days then progress to something else. My little boy is growing up so fast. He is so cute, I was always worried when I was pregnant if this baby was a boy how would I bond with him and would he be harder to look after knowing nothing about boys. I just think back now and think why I was even worried about that. To me he is a beautiful baby that means so much to me and that I love so much. He hasn't had the best start in life with his broncolitis and colds but that has made me so close to him. All the sleepness nights and trips to the hospital are just fading away, as they say the positives always out weigh the negatives and its true too.

I took him to the doctor again to get his immunisations but because he still has a bit of a cold the dr advice against it and that we get it done next week. Just incase Declan had any side effects then having a cold too would had just made him feel so bad. He will be 4 and half months next week but can't do much about that. The dr said it would still be ok to have his immunisations then. :)

Well I am off to bed soon, was up at 5.30am with Declan. Having a day home tomorrow, I am not even going to worry about going to the dvd shop to get some dvd's. I want Declan to keep to his morning sleep routine. :)

Declans First Solids!!

We got 2.4mm of rain overnight, least its something. It was so nice to hear rain on the roof last night. We are suppose to get some more on Monday. :)

Well today is the big day I have decided to start Declan on some farex. He is nearly 4 and a half weeks. Not sure how he will go but will just start him off slowly. Will post a pic soon.

Its fathers day tomorrow, the girls are going to make some cakes for him today.

Got lots to do so better get going. Oh before I go I for Declan has been sleeping for 2-3 hours every morning, finally.!!!!

Artwork from the Girls.

Skyes Fathers Day Picture she draw for him!!!!

Willow's Snowman

Just a few creation from the girls. Willow impressed me with her snowman made out of playdough and Skye's drawing is so adorable, Chris is going to love it. Today at school she took $5.00 to spend to get a Fathers Day pressie from the little craft store there today. She was so excited!!!!

Declan is on the mend, he is getting so cute. Love cuddles. The girls love him and he loves them. He smiles all the time at them. It won't be long until he is sitting up soon. He hasn't rolled up but I suppose he will be doing that in no time.

Anyway here is a pic of him in his new highchair for the first time. I haven't started him on solids yet. Not quite sure weather to start him off now or wait for a little while???? I am leaning towards not starting him on them until least 5 months old.

Declan in his highchair!!!
4 months 1 Week.......
Declan looks a bit blue because he is sitting under a tarp. :)

Argggg Declan is sick again!!!

Well I had a feeling he was getting sick, and Chris has been coughing all over him last week with what he has so I am not surprised at all. :( My biggest fear is Broncolitis coming back again. But I am prepared if he needs to be admitted into hospital again with it again. So tomorrow will be a cuddly day I think.

Got all the housework and washing done today so feeling good about that. I vacummed, mopped the floors, clean bedrooms.

Just a quick post tonight as I have to go and have a shower and get to bed.

Will update on how he is tomorrow.

Declan is 4 Months Old!!!

4 Months Old!!!

Its so hard to believe he is this old already. The time has flown but its been a long haul since he has been sick so much. I really feel positive now that that is all behind us now. We even got 2 7 hour sleeps out of him last week at night. :)

The girls are good. Skye stayed over her Nannies last night, my mum also had her other 10yr old grand -daughter over and she is really spoilt. She has everything she wants so she is so hard to keep entertained. She is beginning to get attitude too so I think my mum finds it hard to control her. This morning when she dropped Skye off she looked very tired, so this she found it a bit hard with both girls staying over. I will have her over for dinner tonight to say thank-you. She will love that.

We are having a heat wave this weekend. Its was 31 degree's yesterday, suppose to be 28 degree's today but its already 27.9 already and its 1pm so no doubt we could see 30 degree's again today. Tomorrow is the bad day, 33 degree's with hot winds which is bad for bushfires. The grass is so dry around here so it won't take much for all the bush to go up. Also we have the elno effect again which means not much rain.

Update on Life.

Declan is going great, he has never been as well as he is now. He is even sleeping 7 hour blocks at night. He is 4 months on Saturday!!!!! Girls are good.

Will be working on my blog more now as I am having a bit more time now as Declan is playing with his toys for longer. Will post some more pics next time.

Time for bed.

A Lovely Day Out!!!

Went out today to a friends house. They have 3 girls, aged 5,2 and a half and 5 months so we have so much in common as their girls are so close in age with our girls and Dec. Her eldest daughter is in the same class as Skye at school. :)

We are going over there next week for a BBQ which will be good. Skye will also be going over Nanny's place for a sleep over next weekend too.

Well just a short post today, off to bed now. Been a long day.

Isn't it Beautiful!!!

I received this beautiful quilt as a Pay it Forward from a lovely lady who is so talented. I love all her work and I admire all her quilts she has made when looking in her blog. My favourite one is the sea theme, I just look at it and think off all the hours of work it must had taken her. I just want to thank you Emma if you happen to read this. I will always treasure it. :)

What A Rough Couple of Months.

The title says it all. I haven't been blogging much as Declan has been so sick most of the time. He has had Broncolitis at 3 Weeks of age and last week again. So its been a very stressful time for us all. Thinking more positively how that things will only get better from now. He was in hospital all last week on oxygen as help him breath. Thankfully we have him home now. :) He is still very stuffed up and has a horrible cough but dr sai it can take several weeks for that to go away. There was so many babies in hospital with Broncolitis so glad Declan is not the only one. Apart from that Declan is going great. :)

He is growing up so fast, he is grabbing toys, nearly rolling from his back to tummy and loves chatting away. He is so adorable I could cuddle him all day long. He still isn't sleeping too well at night but he has been though such a lot that we don't expect to much from him. We count ourselves lucky as Broncolitis is a very small worry then seeing other children in hospital having major surgery and cancer. There was a girl in hospital with cancer, Dh saw her mum crying the other day and it was so heartbreaking. So its opened up my eyes that I should be very thankful that Declan is healthy in every other way. But don't get me wrong of course we still worry about him so much and even now when he is sick. And the girls health too.

Not much else to report, life is the same. I am very busy atm with Declan as a new baby does to you. Hoping to get back into craft soon. Won't be long before Declan is rolling and crawling as soon I know it and life will get so much easier from then on. No more babies here, 3 is enough for me. Its a nice number too. :)

Here are a couple of pics of our growing family.

Long Overdue for a Update!!!

Declan Max
Born:-22nd of April 2009 at 10.15am.
Weight:- 4.5kgs.
Length:- 55.5cm.

I am pleased to announced we now have added a beautiful baby boy to our family. Declan Max was born on the 22nd of April 2009 after a bit of drama. He was breeched and we didn't know until a few minutes until he was born, via emergency c-section. Here is my birth story!!!!

My pregnancy had been a bit rocky at the beginning. I had spotting and a fairly big bleed at 13 weeks. I had about 5 u/sounds up until 13 Weeks then the bleeding just stopped. Never found out where it came from. Then I had a NT scan on bub. I was a bit shocked when the risk came back at 1 in 250. Another very stressful time and I honestly didn't know weather to go ahead with a animo. Something told me not too and me and my Dh decided to wait until the 20 Week u/sound to see if there was any soft markers or adomalities. This bub had was very determined to stay put while I was bleeding so thought I at least had to take that in to consideration. 20 Week scan came along and everything looked great.
tthumbs.gif So we decided to just leave it at that and not go ahead with any-more testing. But it was always in the back of my head for the rest of the pregnancy and I hands.gif we made the right choice not to ahead with any further testing. My 36 week ante-natal appointment came along so quickly. Then at that appointment my BP decided to start playing up. It was very normal up until that point. So I was sent off to be observed and babies heartbeat to montiered. It settled down and I was sent home again. My ankles were so swollen too. Then my 38 week appointment came along, everything was fine again. Then at my 40 Week appointment my BP decided to be high again. Back off to be montiered again and the doctor decided that I should be induced in a couple of days later which was a Thursday. On Tuesday night I was busting to go to the toilet then went. I came out to the kitchen to get a drink of water. And then I felt this gush run down my leg. OMG my waters had broken and it just kept on gushing out. I went into the bedroom to get a pad on and woke Dh up. He was a bit in shock and we were both ready for our baby to make appearance on Thursday. yyes.gif He got my bags ready and put them in the car while I rang my mum to come and look after the girls. We got to the hospital and I was dialated 2cm so it was just a matter of waiting for the contractions to start so my body would gear up for this birth. It was 3am when the contractions started. The midwife was finding it a bit hard to find bub's heartbeat as it kept fading out. So in the end she gave up and I focused on the contractions. Then at 9.30pm I felt like pushing, then another midwife had taken over for the other midwife. He decided to do a internal to see how things were going. First of all he let a student have a feel. She could feel I was around 8cm but said it was hard to feel the cervix's. Then the midwife had a feel. He was feeling around and had a strange look on his face. He said the cervix's is so high and it should be lower since I was 8cm dialated. Then all of a sudden a few doctors came in. They had a montier and was looking at bub. Then to everyone's amazement this baby was breeched. ohmy.gif No wonder why they found it so hard to bubs heartbeat as they weren't looking for a heartbeat near my ribs. It hadn't been picked up until now and I was 8cm dialated having pretty bad contractions. Then I saw half a dozen other medical pple turn up. It was very scary. The main surgeon started to talk to me how I could go ahead with a VBAC but in his opinion it would be very risky as baby could do damage to me down there while coming out and the cord was a concern too as it could wrap around the babies head while he was coming out. I never gave it another thought and decided to go with the c-section that he offered to do. Then all of a sudden there was a huge rush, I was told not to push while having theses contractions which was at there peak with no pain relief. As soon as I knew it I was in the operation threate. My poor Dh had such a worry look on his face and was dragged away to get a gown on. Then I was given a epidural and then the surgeon was in the middle of getting this baby out. It just happened so fast. Finally my Dh came back in, the nurse's were so nice I felt really reassured. original.gif Then 2 mins later I heard this cry, then the surgeon lifted our son up in the air. wub.gif He was so big, he was born at 10.15am and weighed a hefty 10lbs and was 55.5cm long. oomg2.gif We were both in shock as we were expecting another girl. LOL. We decided to have a surprise but never thought he would come out a boy. babyboy.gif Then he was taken off to get cleaned up, he was a bit rattly which I was a bit concerned about. After they cleaned him up etc the nurse brought him over to us for a cuddle. And to my relief he never had Down Syndrome. original.gif His Blood Sugar Level was low and they were concerned as he wasn't breathing right. So he was rushed off to SCU. My Dh went with him. After 45mins or so I was sewn up again and sent to the recovery. It was so long as I had no idea what was happening with our son. We didn't even have a name for him. I was finally put in a room on the maternity ward. One step closer to seeing our baby. I wasn't allowed to get up and had to stay in bed for the night. My Dh got back and said he was was on a machine to montier his breathing and everything seemed to be settling down. He was also put on a drip for his low blood sugar. At around 6pm I was finally allowed to be wheeled around to see him. It was so scary seeing him with all those wires on him. It broke my heart. cry1.gif He was led on my tummy and it was nice to finally see him. I felt ripped off as he had to stay in there while other mums had there babies in there rooms. I had a good night sleep and woke up determined to get on my feet again asap. I had a shower which was so nice. Then I was wheeled to SCU where I visited our son that we now named Declan Max. I tried to breastfeed him but my milk just wasn't coming in. I am sure it was to do with the delay and the shock of the c-section. I worked on breastfeeding for another few days and he wasn't allowed to come out of SCU until I was b/feeding him. Then on Sunday one of the midwifes convinced the doctor to let Declan come into the maternity ward with me and she would work on breast feeding with me. I was so excited to finally have him with me. For the first couple of feeds he suck on me and given some formula though a tube next to my breast so while he was sucking he was having that while stimulating me to produced milk. After 2 feeds of those I started to express and he was given that. The next morning he was sucking from me. ddance.gif I finally established b/feeding. On Monday I was determined to go home. I just wanted to go home and get out of the hospital. It had been so tramatic for me and Declan too and I just wanted to be home where I felt safe. Declan now nearly 2 Weeks old is doing great. I am so proud of him. We have some unsettled periods but overall he is a great baby. He sleeps 3-4 hour periods mostly which is so good. tthumbs.gif Thank goodness this is our last baby, there is no way I want to go thought that again. My baby making days are over. yyes.gif I am recovering from my c-section pretty good. At the beginning I felt like crying every-time I look at the photo's of Declan in SCU but as the days have gone by its getting a lot easier. Having new photo's of him had seem to make those bad memories fade away a bit.

Stubborn Bub!!!

40 Weeks & 2 Days and Still Waiting!!!!!

Where is our little bub???? He/She is deciding to follow the tradition just like the girls being late. LOL. Everyday goes by and I wake up thinking is today the day. Oh well I suppose bub is comfortable in there. Tuesday isn't that far away until I find out what the eviction date will be. I can see me still being pregnant for another week yet. Willow's birthday is getting so close too (28th April) so the longer this bub stays put the closer we are going to have 2 kids for birthday's in April.

Chris is home for 2 Weeks Holidays now which is great. Really going to love having him home. :)

Best be off and start dinner and baths. Skye had her friend Taylah over and they had so much fun. Willow got to play with Taylahs sister Annalise. The are both similar in age. Also they have another baby sister who is 7 Weeks old. She is getting so big fast.

Midwife Update

Went to the midwife today, BP was up a bit but no protein in urine so she wasn't to concerned. Bub is going good. So now its just the waiting game. Back off to midwife next Tuesday to book in a induction date if bub is stubbon and still hasn't come. Hopefully I won't have to keep that appointment. Skye was 4 days late so hoping this bub will follow that not 10 days overdue like Willow was.

Well that it really. Off to cook dinner while girls are quiet.

2 Days off Due Date.

Still nothing, went for a huge walk today in the shops to get the girls some winter clothes but nothing is happening. Well apart from me being very sore that is. LOL. Got some very cute jumpsuits from Best and Less today. Here are some pics. I got some really nice jumpers, singlets and pj's for the girls too. So they are all set now. Just have to get track-suit pants for the girls. I have never liked the pants with the zips and botton tops. Skye has so much trouble with those and Willow being toilet trained in the day she would get so fraustrated undoing those.

Its finally stopped raining, we had nearly 90mm of rain yesterday and last night. :0 We haven't had so much rain for ages.

Just thought I would update on bub, off to midwife tomorrow so will know a bit more then. Off to put my feet up as they are so big tonight.

No Movement on Baby Front

As title say still nothing. LOL. This baby seems to be to comfy to want to come out.

Its a rainy old day today, so girls are playing inside.

Not much else to say, Chris is back off to work tomorrow so I am going to miss him. I am going to have to make sure I keep the girls busy. Hoping to go to neighbours place tomorrow, hospital on Wednesday for midwife appointment, Thursday day home and Friday to a Play-Centre. Saturday to a friend house and then Sunday day at home. So there is plan. LOL. But that could change depending on if this bub is going to make a appearance. :)

Baby Week!!!!!

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

Finally Week And Hoping To Meet
Our 3rd Little Miracle Any Day Now!!!!

Never thought I would see my pregnancy ticker reach this stage. Just waiting now and hoping that any day our 3rd little mystery person will make his/her appearances very soon. We are looking forward to seeing weather this bub is a boy or a girl. We are expecting it to be a girl and will be in complete shock if a boy comes out. :0 Either way we don't care, all we want is to hold this baby safely in our arms. Starting to think about the labour part now and not looking forward to the pain but it will all be worth it in the end. Off to the midwife on Wednesday. Hoping I won't need the appointment. Have both girls home next week as Skye is on Easter holidays so its going to be hard enough there. Thankfully the appointment is at 1.30pm so hoping its going to be quiet and I go in straight away.

Everything else is good, Skye is doing very well at school. Its Easter tomorrow and the girls are looking forward to the Easter Bilby leaving some eggs for them tomorrow. Skye left some apple out for the Bilby tonight. LOL. Very cute.

Well better get to bed, wonder if tomorrow is baby day, I wake up thinking that every morning. Hoping I am not that overdue as I really don't want to be induced this time around.

Before I go, just a few pics of the girls at a Pet Fair a few weeks ago.

36 Weeks!!!

On 4WW Countdown now!!!!

Had midwife appointment today, bub is fine. I just can't believe that I might go into labour within the next 4 Weeks. Still seems unreal. Had blood-test today too. Got to go back to hospital to see midwife in 2 Weeks time.

I have got almost everything ready. Still got to put a few things in my hospital bag. Suppose I really think about doing that now.

Off to go and do baths with girls. Skye is being a little you know what atm. She keeps hitting Willow this arvo.

"35 Weeks"

Finally "35 Weeks"
Finally reached my GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The girls are good, Skye is off on her first excursion tomorrow. My mum will be going with her. Its a educational centre and they go on a bush-walk. There would be no way I could go atm on a bush-walk being 35 Weeks pregnant. They will both have fun.

Other then that not much else has been happening. Apart from a cyclone hamish which has been hovering off the coast the past week. But thankfully its losing steam and dying out. We had a bit of wind yesterday and just a bit of rain. Not much from it which is great. Was looking a bit scary there for awhile as it was a catorgory 5 cyclone for about 3 days.

Cyclone Hamish

Well better go and start dinner. Pasta Bake today. Won't take long to whip up.

What is Going On With Our Weather!!!!

OMG WHAT A WEEK OF HEARTACHE.

North Qld- Floods. (Due to a Cyclone then fizzles out and formed into a low and came back again)

Victoria:- Fires and high temperatures. (35 lives lost so far)

Adelaide:- Heatwave, temperatures about 40 for a week.
Tasmania:-
Highest temperature recorded last week in a long time.

We have been very lucky here in Brisbane, we had horrible humid weather the past month but how can we complain with what other states have been though. BUT what else has this summer got in stall for us. We are pretty lucky up here, the grass was going brown but thankfully after a bit of rain its turned green. But tomorrow its suppose to be 34 degree's. :0

Lets just hope that this is the end to our terrible summer for this yr.
