2011, A New Year and a Fresh Start!!!

Its the 1st day of a new year which I hope is going to be a better one for us. I am more positive this year that this year will be so much better. Skye and Willow are both off to school in 3 weeks so I will just have Declan home. Letting me get a bit more life back to do some things for myself.

Went to spotlight yesterday and picked up some fabric for a couple more projects. To make 2 library bags for the girls for school and to make a dress for my new niece due at the end of this month.

I am also in the process of making a romper for her. This is my first sewing project since 6 years so happy they way it is turning out. :)

My first sewing projects after Christmas

I brought a boxful of "Make it Easy". A collection that was collect weekly in 1980 to 1982 for just $5. Some very nice and basic patterns which are included in each issue. :) Also some very retro patterns too. lol. Not sure if the sizes are bigger then back then to what they are now, so just going to make up one and see. My brother is having a new baby in January so I will be making them a summer romper and matching jacket. Will find out next week what they are having so will be able to look around to see what fabric I would like it. Spotlight here I come.

After that I am going to have a go at make this simple summer dress for Willow.

Jumpsuit Pics

Craft time for me here I come.

Finally having some me time again and getting back into my crafts. :) Declan is nearly 1 and a half, Skye is nearly 7 and Willow is 4 and off to prep next year. Its finally feeling like that the baby raising stage is all behind me now and now its time to do something for me. Declan is walking, starting to say a few words and is just so cute. He is so lovable. Next year it will just be me and him while the girls are at school.

Just finished hand embroidering 3 Jumpsuits for (Kelly) who just had triplets. Tillie, Jack and Mitchell born at 33 weeks I think. Great to hear they are doing great. Haven't had overly that much time to do something bigger but thought these would nice. Completed with a homemade card. Hope she likes them.
