Little outfits for my niece.

Well I finally finished them. Here are 2 little outfits I made for my niece. I didn't make the shirts but I did appliqué them. Very happy how they turned out. :) I decided to make a different nappy cover for the owl shirt as I didn't want the other one to be too small. This time I got it from a pattern where as the other one I just printed out from a website.

I won the Ebaby Photo Challenge last week.

I can't believe I won it. The challenge was "The letter L". I got a fantastic photo of the moon last week and called it Lunar Phase to fit the topic. I was hoping to get another one on Saturday when it was a full Supermoon but it was raining and the moon wasn't visible. So here is my winning entry. :)

Its the weekend at last!!!

Finally after a week of 2 kids with raging temps we have finally turned the corner. Been a really hard week and tiring too. The girls are going over for a sleep over at their nannies house tomorrow night the rest will be so nice. Hope to get into some sewing this weekend. Going to have a go at Appliqué again and make a set for my niece. I have also bidded on a few FQ's on ebay so I really hope I win them. A tweety pie pattern which will look so cute as a nappy cover and applique shirt. :) Think I am getting a bit additive to fabric lately. I have only just started getting back into sewing so my stash is very small but growing fast. lol.

My First Attempt at Appliqué.

I am so happy with how this outfit turned out. I sewed the pants for my toddler Declan. I brought the t-shirt from Target but I appliqued the car, buses and plane then zig zagged stitched around them . Will get a pic of Declan wearing them this week. I had heaps of fun doing them and can't wait to get in and do another set for him. I have some fabric with sharks on them which will look so cute after I finished the pants and top.

Oven Pot Holders.

Well here they are. I am really happy how they turned out. A few people that have seen them have been impressed. :D I had heaps of fun doing them. Just used some fabric I wouldn't usually choose but it was for a older lady and she loves flowers.

I have decided to use the owl fabric I previously said I was going to use for a quilt I want to make my new baby niece.

Fabric for Oven Pot Holder.

I decided that I am going to have a go at making a oven pot holder. The one I have is so old and ugly. I really love this fabric. Love the owls, I think they a so cute. Its one of my favourite fabrics. Might also have a go at making a over mitt after I finish the pot holder.

My Next Project

A dress for Willow, this pattern is a bit harder so hoping I get though it. Will just have to take my time with it I think.

Skyes Dress

Well I finally finished it, I reckon I did a good job on it. Rushed it a bit as Declan has been sick with tonsillitis and being so clingy. I think with each dress I make I will get a bit better at it. Still a very only beginner really. Anyway there is a pic above. Skye loves it, she doesn't look to happy in the pic but she was tired and not in the mood for me taking a photo.

Ok I am back.

Girls started school so only have Declan home this year. Finding I have a bit more time to do some things for me. Been busy sewing. I finished the romper for my brothers wife but in a mad rush. Bub decided to come a week early so it was a real rush job. I didn't even get a pic of it finished. Now I am onto making a dress for Skye. Have to say its looking very nice. Can't wait to finish it for her. Will post a pic once I have completed it. Then I am onto making another dress for Willow. I hope to get them finished for next weekend so they can wear them to sizzler where we are going for my birthday. :)

All is good.. Apart from everyone starting to get sick as school has started back and we are mixing with other peoples/children's germs. We also have a new member of the family now, a green budgie flew in and was sitting in our front garden. A big welcome to "Joey". He was so hungry and weeks, we caught him and he' s happily out the back in a cage and chats away each day. So glad we caught him as I don't think he would had lasted much longer.

Time to put the kids to bed and as soon as I know it it will be tomorrow. Having a quiet weekend and hope to get a quite a bit of sewing down. :)
